Materials & Technology
What are KIERUTEC products made of?

+

An engineered resin composite and reinforced polyurethane. Both developed for architectural integration and Gulf climate conditions, and produced in-house via precision resin casting at our Dubai facility.

Are all products made from the same material?

+

No. Each product is manufactured in either our engineered resin composite or reinforced polyurethane. The choice is based on geometry, production volume, and intended application. Some geometries are better suited to the resin composite; others to polyurethane. The specific material is always confirmed on the product datasheet.

How does your resin composite compare to gypsum?

+

Our engineered resin composite absorbs less than 0.18% moisture (gypsum absorbs 25% or more). It is 56% lighter. It resists impact without fracturing. It is fully radio-transparent. It maintains its properties over a 25+ year lifespan in Gulf humidity. Gypsum fails on every one of those metrics.

Do your products block WiFi or wireless signals?

+

No. Our engineered resin composite and polyurethane are radio-transparent. WiFi, BLE, Zigbee, and Z-Wave pass through unimpeded. That is why KIERUTEC NET works for access points.

Can KIERUTEC products be painted?

+

Yes. Products ship with surface finishes ready to accept architectural-grade paint, matching any wall or ceiling colour.

Why precision resin casting instead of conventional injection moulding?

+

Precision casting uses lightweight custom tooling rather than hardened production moulds, which gives us far greater design freedom at a fraction of the tooling cost and lead time. It lets us match any device, any surface, and any installation condition, including small custom runs alongside our standard product lines.

What about humidity and temperature extremes?

+

The materials are specifically suited to Gulf conditions. Our engineered resin composite does not absorb moisture, does not degrade in heat, and maintains dimensional stability across temperature ranges far beyond typical indoor environments.

What fire rating do KIERUTEC products meet?

+

Standard-grade engineered resin composite and reinforced polyurethane materials used in KIERUTEC products meet UL 94 HB. This is appropriate for residential and most non-critical commercial applications. The engineered resin composite is our primary material for applications where fire performance is a consideration; the reinforced polyurethane is used where geometry, production volume, or cost make it the better choice and fire requirements are less stringent. For projects requiring higher ratings such as EN 13501-1 Class B or C, ASTM E84 Class A, plenum compliance, electrical glow-wire, or listed life-safety device housings, we engage directly with the project’s fire consultant to provide product-specific detailing and documentation, including material selection guidance per product. We do not position KIERUTEC as a non-combustible building component (Class A1 or A2); for those requirements, surrounding assembly materials carry the rating, and KIERUTEC integrates through engineered fire-stopping details designed project by project.

Can KIERUTEC be installed into a fire-rated ceiling or wall?

+

Yes. Installation into rated assemblies is standard practice in commercial projects and is handled through engineered penetration details such as intumescent sealants, fire-rated backboxes, or specific fire-stopping products selected per the assembly rating. Our engineering team works with your MEP and fire consultant at the specification stage to document this per project. Contact specify@kierutec.com to discuss.

Products & Customisation
What if the device I want to conceal isn’t in your catalogue?

+

We engineer custom solutions for any device, dimension, or surface condition. Share the device specifications with us and we will respond with a scope, timeline, and quote.

Can you modify a standard product for my project?

+

Yes. Modified dimensions, alternative finishes, bespoke mounting configurations, all available on request and quoted per project.

What device categories do you cover?

+

Eight families: AIR (HVAC), SOUND (speakers), SENSE (sensors and cameras), CONTROL (keypads and panels), NET (networking), CLIMATE (thermostats and voice), LIGHTING (fixtures), POWER (switches and sockets). Within each family we adapt to specific devices from most major manufacturers.

Do you work with specific brands like Basalte, Sonos, Ubiquiti?

+

Yes. We support devices from Basalte, Jung, Gira, Crestron, Lutron, Sonos, Bowers & Wilkins, KEF, Ubiquiti, Hikvision, Nest, Ecobee, Legrand, Schneider, and many others. If a device is not covered yet, we engineer it.

Are the materials environmentally responsible?

+

Both our engineered resin composite and reinforced polyurethane can be recycled through appropriate waste streams. Our casting process is optimised to minimise material waste across production runs compared to less efficient conventional moulding alternatives.

Installation
How are KIERUTEC products installed?

+

During the fit-out phase, alongside standard trades. Simple mounting with no specialist tools required. Installation manuals and CAD details are provided.

Who installs them, KIERUTEC or the integrator?

+

Your fit-out contractor, MEP contractor, or smart home integrator. KIERUTEC is a product company, not an installer. Any competent tradesperson can install correctly using our documentation.

Can products be retrofitted into existing buildings?

+

Some products can. Many work best when specified at the design stage to allow for proper integration with surrounding finishes. Share project details and we will assess feasibility for your situation.

Commercial & Ordering
How are products priced?

+

Project-based. Contact us with device specifications, quantities, and timeline, and we will respond with a quote.

What is the typical lead time?

+

Standard products ship within agreed project timelines. Custom engineering adds lead time based on scope, quoted per project.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

+

Not for standard products. Custom pieces are quoted per project depending on geometry and tooling requirements, and smaller custom runs, including single-unit orders, are often viable. We’ll advise on feasibility and lead time at the quoting stage.

Do you offer samples?

+

Yes. Physical samples are available for partners to demonstrate material quality and finish to clients before committing to project orders. Request via partners@kierutec.com.
